Storm Chasing 2017
14th July 2017
For the 2017 USA storm chase season, we chased across Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas. We saw some of the most intense lightning imaginable, and astonishing supercell structure. This turned out to be one of the best 10 days chasing to date.

All images below (and on this website) are available to purchase as canvases, framed prints and more. Just click on this link to take you to the purchase page, thank you!

Once again I am pleased to announce that I have been commended in this year’s Landscape Photographer of the Year awards. But more importantly for me this is the 4th year I have been commended and the 5th time I have had my work published in this prestigious awards book.

As with last year’s competition, an exhibition of the winners will be held on the Balcony at Waterloo station in London, giving thousands of visitors to see them for free. The Waterloo exhibition will run for twelve weeks, from the 21st November 2016 - 5th February 2017.

Print options...

Canvas prints:
Printed on the best GSM cotton polyester mix with chunky frames - 44mm (1.75inch) made from pine wood, stapled and taped on the back to create a clean and seamless finish. Ready to hang, they come supplied with hangers.

Traditional framed prints:
Showroom quality and exceptional finishing that will enhance your living space, so that you can enjoy luxury art at an affordable price. Epson 189gsm paper. Bright white paper is perfect for images and your art. The paper highly saturates images, while maintaining excellent highlight and shadow detail. The “glass” or acrylic glazing, closely replicates the look and quality of glass. It is safe, light weight and does not scratch or discolour overtime. It is strong enough to withstand being shipped with courier companies. To reduce our carbon footprint and being an environmentally responsible company, all the wood in the frames are from sustainable forests.

Contemporary framed prints:
A super hi-gloss laminate is added to your chosen image resulting in a high quality look that is water/scratch resistant and requires no glazing. The image is heat embossed onto 6mm MDF and then encased in a framework that is 48mm wide and 18mm deep. Frames are available in a choice of four contemporary wood finishes. Ready to hang, they come supplied with hangers.

Acrylic prints:
Our stunning acrylic prints are created by pressure mounting the image onto laser cut acrylic which is 10mm thick. The acrylic glass has diamond polished edges giving them perfect clarity. This creates movement within the frame allowing light to be captured through the acrylic. The frame comes with 4 chrome (other colours available) wall fixings which gives the impression the image is floating from the wall.

Please note that I am adding more of my work to this print portfolio, if there are any images that you would like to buy but are not on this portfolio, then please get in touch and I will add them as soon as possible, thank you.

Landscape Photographer of the Year awards 2014
10th November 2014
I’m proud to tell everyone that for the 3rd year in a row I have been commended in the UK Landscape Photographer of the Year awards. My image has won a place in the Awards book and will be part of the London Waterloo exhibition.

This is just about the toughest competition there is in Landscape photography, with tens of thousands of images entered of the highest standard by top amateurs and professionals alike; only 50 images or so making it in the Classic view category (the main category and the one that I enter).

My commended image, title and words as they will appear in the awards book and exhibition in London...

Frosty fells sunrise

First light on a frosty Skelgill bank with its dark path and worn in footprints working their way down the hillside to the freezing fog below, hidden in the fog is Derwent water and the town of Keswick, overshadowed by Skiddaw massif in the distance.

On this morning, I was heading to the South part of the Lake District but decided on a hunch that there might be some elusive mist in and around the Keswick area further north, something that I have been trying to capture for more than four years.
